Welcome Winter!

And just like that...it's here. Just a dusting of snow when we went to bed last night but the ground was covered with a couple of inches when we woke up. And it just kept snowing all day. I'm not gonna lie, I always get excited with each year's first REAL snow. I don't like driving in it but it sure is pretty (and really gets me in the mood for Christmas).
On the way to work (yes I take pictures while driving and I know this is dangerous but I was going really slow and made sure no other cars were around)

I was so excited to see the snow this morning and decided to wear my new snowflake scrub top.

Keith, Lisa, and I decided to go to Ridge Point Church on saturdaay night. It was very different than what I was used to but I liked it. Very casual setting. The pastor couldn't have been more than 25 years old. The sermon was about "hatred" and he referred to a passage from the Bible that dealt with rape which he referred to frequently. I was surprised at how openly he talked about this during the sermon (lots of kids). Keith liked it because we were all invited to take part in communion by going up front to little tables. He is Catholic and is used to getting a "host" at every service. We all agreed that we would definitely go back. And I really liked the concept of going to church on saturday night and sleeping in on sunday (is that bad?) Here is Tim, Lyndsey, and Gracie before Gracie's baptism which took place after the regular service.
And yet another martini picture at 84 East :)

Oh my goodness, I can't believe the snow, your new snowflake scrub is so cute...just like you!!!
The church service sounds like something I would like. I can tell you there are a whole lot worse things to do on a Saturday night than go to church. I am with you, sleeping in on Sunday sounds good.

I am so jealous of all that snow! WE only get a dusting and then when the sun comes out it melts.. Don't feel bad about liking to go to church on saturday..when we moved to WB we always went to church saturday night and then went out to dinner afterwards. My mom liked it because she didn't have to fight with us to get up in the morning on sunday and it was like a 5pm service and got out at 5:45, so there was still plenty of time in the evening for activities.

Brenda, you look adorable in your snowflake scrub! What a welcome sight to those weary patients who are barely hanging on by a thread to see your shining face come through the door! (Well, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but you get the point!)

Definately nothing wrong with going to church on Saturday night. Especially if you really enjoy it. I do miss seeing you when your not at First. But the most important thing is that you enjoy worship and feel Gods presence wherever you worship.
