I'm almost embarrassed to be writing this because it is something I would never do...Keith on the other hand didn't have a problem and it worked out pretty nice. On our way down to Colon a couple of Saturdays ago we went through the McDonald's drive-thru. Keith got a Coke with his value meal and specifically asked for NO ICE. We got back on the highway and realized they filled his cup all the way with ice and about 2 sips of pop. I would have let this go...he decided to call the 1-800 number on the bag to complain. Since his phone call we have gotten 4 seperate letters from McDonald's (all on different days) apologizing for their mistake. We have gotten 3 coupons for a large sandwhich and just today got a coupon for an extra value meal. Not bad. I still don't think I would ever call to complain (unless maybe I found a finger in my food or something...) but in case any of you want to, you will probably get some free food out of the deal :)

Way to go, Keith! Yes, Brenda, I think I'd have to agree that if I found a finger in my food, I would definitely complain. I just love how you pass on all these great tips - keep them coming!
Way to go Keith...you all know that I am the first to complain if something is not right. I have gotten free airline tickets, hotel rooms, you name it. When you use the line" and I am telling all my friends never to stay here in a Holiday Inn again".....the free stuff starts coming
PS...I love the new layout of your blog Bren
I got sick of the tabs ripping off my diapers and wrote an email complaint. I got a coupon for a free package of diapers as well as a couple for 1.00 off. That was the first time I had ever complained but like you said, sometimes it's worth it!
Tim is never afraid to complain... I am always the one who says... "Oh it is ok" :)
We should all have a little Keith in us, I usually don't complain but I should , otherwise they keep making the same mistake if they get away with it.
That's a spinoff from Stella, the lady who sued McDonald's and won over ten million dollars. That particular store had received over 200 documented complaints about scalding hot coffee and failed to respond to any of them or make cooler coffee. Now, McD is is super sensitive.
