dangerous sweet potatoes

I am a small bit embarressed to share my story about the burn I now have on my stomach but I thought it would make for an interesting blog. Yesterday morning as I was preparing some of the food for today, I decided I could drain the big pot of sweet potatoes over the sink by myself (Keith was eating cereal in the other room). Not a smart idea. I'm not sure if it was the hot water, steam, or the pot itself that hit my belly but it didn't feel nice! It hurt pretty bad yesterday but looks worse than what it feels today. Next time I will ask Keith for help.

Next time you better let Keith just drain them. You have gotten burnt too many times. The mom says buy them in the can next time :)

Ouch Brenda , I thought you were talking about a little burn on your finger or something, Burns are so painful but especially in such a tender spot.

OUCH! That looks REALLY sore, honey. Take good care that it doesn't get infected!
