Under the table and dreaming

I have been looking forward to this concert for a long time. I've always liked Dave Matthews Band but it wasn't until this past year that I really started loving their music. His lyrics are amazing. I bought the tickets in February and they have been stuck on our fridge waiting until June 23. Keith, Cousin Dan, and I left around noon on Wednesday. Our hotel was conveniently located in the parking lot of Greats Lakes Crossing mall. Since we had a little extra time on our hands we decided to get some food at the mall. I didn't even know Toby Keith had his own restaurant (not so much a country fan). But it was really cool. Huge with lots of TV's. And we happened to walk in during happy hour. Nice :)These crazy big nachos were only $6! Half of them are still in our fridge :) I know I take a lot of pictures of food which might be weird. But I like food and get excited about it. Especially when it is cheap. Our hotel was only 5 miles from the concert so I thought we were leaving plenty early. It took us an hour to drive those 5 miles! But it was entertaining...Wish we would have had a little more time to tailgate before the concert but we enjoyed it while we could.I had never been to DTE before and was impressed with how nice it was. I called it a little "village"
We had lawn seats which were the cheapest. I would have loved to have been closer but I thought our seats were great. We could wander around and I experienced some of the best people watching ever. Everyone was very friendly...
Keith's good friend Eric was at the concert too. We haven't seen him in a long time. So lucky to run into him! It had been forever since I had been to a big concert. If I could afford it I would go way more often. The whole experience was awesome :) Right up there with a Tiger game...

Brenda - I got a chuckle over your "I love food and get excited about it, especially when it's cheap" comment. So do I! You are TOO cute. The concert looks like great fun - I'm glad you had a good; it must have been great, if you compare it to going to a Tigers' game - LOL! (Katie and her boyfriend were able to attend a Jimmy Buffet concert at the last minute this weekend (in Wisconsin). They had fun, too!

I love going to that theatre too, it is alot of fun. Toby's bar and grill did not look too bad either. Did you get to look through the mall at all? I went there with my friend Gret for our 40th birthdays.
