tip toeing through the tulips

Hard to believe Tulip Time 2010 has come and gone already. I had big fun dutch dancing, eating junk food, people watching, and taking in the Volksparade with my most bests. Bummer about the balloon wrangling being cancelled on Saturday. I hope to give it another shot next year if the opportunity is there....

The girl were good sports for all of the pictures that Mom and Bumpa wanted to take of them. The junk food stands are one of the things I love most about Tulip Time. I tried deep fried Oreos for the first time this year. Woah, so good! dangerously good. Good thing the Carnies only roll in once a year. I am trying to be dedicated to Medifast this week....(I'm trying the deep fried cheesecake next year)

The doctors decided to host a "dutch dance tailgate" at Skile's Pizza on friday night since a good part of our group in from SWFM. I knew pizza was being bought for us. I did not know drinks were also on the docs. I swear they make them stronger than normal at Skile's, yikes! Let's just says it was a FUN last dance. I'm lucky to work at such a fun place :) Thank you to everyone who came out to watch me dance this year. I plan to keep dancing until I am unable :)
I've never met the man but his voice brings me back to my childhood and the time I first fell in love with Detroit baseball. I'd like to think he and my mom are cheering on the Tigers together from heaven.

Great post, Bren! Yes, Ernie and your mom are both in heaven cheering on the Tigers, I'm sure. I remember how your mom used to love going to baseball games. I had the pleasure of meeting Ernie at Haworth a few years back - I'm sure I've told you how we walked around the pond at work, and he chatted with me like I was a long-lost friend. That was his charm - he made everyone feel that way.
