Eatin up those White Sox!

We met up with our friends Dan and Amanda (I work with Amanda) at a place called Nemo's in Detroit on Saturday. I forget where I first heard about Nemo's but I'm so glad we checked it out! It is right across the street from the old Tiger Stadium (which looks really sad right now...) Nemo's is kind of a mom and pop type of sports bar. Lots of cool old sports stuff on the walls. No menu. Food and drinks are written on a chalk board on the wall. REALLY good burgers. The bar tenders know a lot about Detroit sports and have fun stories to share. The best part about Nemo's is that for $3 round trip they offer shuttles rides (they have about 10 school buses) to and from Commerica park. This way you don't have to worry about parking near the park (and spending $20 to do so). They even let you take drinks onto the bus. Fun! They ride back was really fun...
We made sure we got on the first bus to Commerica! It was GREEN weekend at Commerica Park this weekend. The first 10,000 fans got these tote bags. Of course I made sure we got ours. Nice!
Innings 1-8 were pretty uneventful but the 9th and 10th made up for it!! I was clapping so hard my hands hurt. It really is electifying being with 40,000 plus people who are all so pumped up for the Tigers. Probably the 2nd best game I've been to (next to Oct 14, 2006 when Maggs sent them to the World Series).

You make me laugh, "my hands hurt so bad from clapping" I was just picturing last night how excited you probably were! Glad it was a good game for you :)

Darrin kept saying..."Wow! What a great game for Brenda and Keith to be at!" And he was mad at me for hanging up the phone with you today without asking how it was. I'm so impressed with the tire pictures. And it absolutely could have been worse. I'm thankful you were able to find a tire place that was open. Thanks for sending me those extra pictures...fun, fun!!
