Big Bear Lake

This was my 10th year up at Big Bear Lake. It's a camping tradition that Keith and his high school buddies started 12 years ago. Big Bear is about 25 miles east of Gaylord, just about a 4 hour drive from Holland (it's a nice drive though). It was a nice relaxing trip. I started and finished a good book (Suzanne's diary for Nicholas). We brought the boat up. I was hesitant about bringing it at first but am glad we decided to tow it up. It worked great and we got a lot of use out of it. Lots of fishing (we caught a few) and even did some water skiing (not me!). We ate tons of great food. It seems like everyone always brings way to much of it and we feel like we need to eat it ALL. We had great weather. It seems like we've been spoiled with great weather all summer doesn't it? We could use a little rain but other than that I'm not complaining! We saw some leaves just starting to turn color on our ride home today. Fall is not far away....

Dolly had fun chasing the ducks
Keith thought I was a dork for taking a picture of the food...looks good though doesn't it?

(Thinking of Jen and Jason and the girls and hoping their big move is going well so far!)
