weekend update

We used our gift certificate from Restaurant.com and had dinner at City Vu on Friday night. It was pretty good. The menu is a little different and Keith did need to order a 2nd entree in order to fill him up but it was something new (and a good deal!). We left saturday morning for Troy. Stopped at McDonald's for breakfast. Did you know that if you order the sausage McMuffin meal you can get another sausage McMuffin for $1? We spent Saturday afternoon working in Keith's mom's yard. She was very grateful and cooked us yummy food while we were there. Later in the day we went to Dylan's 5th birthday party. Lots of people people, food, and presents! I had never heard of half of the toys he got. Anyone ever heard of Ben 10? We spent saturday night looking through old picture albums at his mom's house. This is something I could do for hours on end! I've always liked looking at old pictures. After a big breakfast and a little more work in the yard we headed home. Keith is painting a dentist office so he had to go and paint when we got home. Certain places you can only paint on weekends and at night :( I'm watching it rain/sleet/snow out the window. Winter is coming soon....

Hard to believe Dylan is 5 already!
It was a Power Rangers theme :)
Using his muscles! Taking a break for some fun

what in the world is a Ben 10? I am so out of it when it comes to kids stuff...I do know Dora and that is about it.
I am certain that Keith's Mom was so happy about your visit, the yard help, spending time with her, looking at old pictures. Too bad that she does not live closer to Holland. Good info on the sausage McMuffin.... and great news on you buying your very own laptop, ( that news came in an email) that way you can spend as much time as you want on the computer and Keith can use his for business. More power to the brother....
wondering if any of you saw the Trailblazers on national TV last night....we won. Keep up the good work with all the money saving ideas Bren

Braylon got all kinds of Ben 10 stuff at his birthday too! I had no idea what it was... apparently it is a Cartoon Network show that Jason and Braylon love and the little boy... Ben turns into monsters or something like that... they tried to explain it to me, but I was lost.... :)

Bren - Reading about how much you enjoy looking at old pictures (also one of my favorite pastimes) reminded me that I've been wanting to tell you that I found a few more of your grandma's journals, and I have them at my house. You'll enjoy these in particular because they were written around the time you were born, and grandma can't say enough about the beautiful new baby in the family - Brenda Lee! Remind me, and I'll be sure to get them to you...!!

The certificate DID work great! I'm excited to use the other ones. There wasn't really any "catch" besides having to spend $35. Which was really easy because I got a fun drink...Keith got a microbrew..appetizer and dessert :)
