tid bits

*I'm happy that I saved $37.42 at Meijers tonight. Half of it was from coupons and the other half was from in store sales. I get such satisfaction when I scan my coupons and then look on the receipt to see what my savings were. I have a really hard time paying full price for anything now!

*Like I said before I am starting to like wine more and more...another exciting thing about my trip to Meijers was that I found a couple of new flavors from Leelanau Cellars that I had never seen before. Blueberry and Pomegranate. They also had Raspberry, Cherry, and Apple. I went with the raspberry since I know it tastes good. If anyone wants to visit a winery and go wine tasting let me know :)

*Keith got a call today inviting him to join the Better Business Bureau. I don't know much about these kinds of things but this is supposed to be honor. Good job Keith.

*We have been dealing with fruit flies in our house. What the heck? We didn't have this problem in the summer when I had more fruit sitting out. I keep apples and bananas on the kitchen table in a bowel but never let them get too ripe. Where are these flies coming from? It's annoying. Is anyone else having this problem?

*I have to pass this site on (restaurant.com) Elizabeth told me about it. You just put in yo r zip code and it brings up restaurants in your area that offer $25 gift cards for $10! I have not actually ordered anything yet but it seems like a great deal. A really good Christmas gift idea...

This is a really fun post. I would love to blog about my money saving ideas more often and I would like to get ideas from others. Just little tips that save even a small amount would be great. Any ideas readers? I have my coupons all ready for a trip to the village market. I tried to find as many coupons I could to match sale items...only of things I know we will eat. I'll let you know how much I save.

We have the exact same problem with those darn fruitflies! They drive me nuts!! I am thinking they come in on the fruit from the grocery store. We keep ours on the counter as well and I don't let things age too much, except bananas if I'm making banana bread. Stupid flies..

I'll go wine tasting with you anytime Brenda ! And I have had problems at different times with fruit flies too, I can never figure out why they are a pest at certain times of the year.
