Horsin around

Keith thought he was clever coming up with the title to this blog so I will give him the credit. We can not complain that this "last" weekend of summer has been nothing but sunny and warm. We went to Laketown beach yesterday. The water was in the low 70s so we spent lots of time in it. We were surprised to see 4 horses come trotting through the water while we were there. It was really cool to see. One bad thing was that I did see some big horse poop floating in the water :( We got together at Aunt Rachel's in the evening for KFC and other goodies. Grandpa was in one of his story telling moods and had a few good ones to share. Keith decided to try his luck fishing off the pier later at night after Grandpa told him that the salmon were coming in. We didn't have any lucking fishing but it was SO pretty out there. The sunset was gorgeous. Of course it was packed out at the state park and I always have fun people watching.

Not sure what we will do yet today. We had tickets for the Tiger game this afternoon (actually a rain date from back in May) but decided not to go. If they were doing a little better we of course would be there. We'd end up spending more money on gas to get there than we did for the tickets anyway. So far it has been a lazy morning. Sleeping in, pancakes, and 90210 marathon (Keith has since changed the channel). Hope everyone else is enjoying this sunny long weekend! Here are a few pictures from saturday morning. We had breakfast with JJ and MK and dad at Russ and then went to visit with Grandpa.

I spoke with Jean last night and she told me that Grandpa was in rare form with his stories that no one had ever heard before...I don't know how he does it. I LOVE the picture of Macey sitting on his lap. It sounds like you had a great weekend.
Rainy and cool here, which is actually ok after no rain and such heat.
Good job Bren on the updates

As "per normal" Brenda keeps us all in the loop - bless her heart! We all had a lovely time at J&R's last night. Carol - good to talk to you, too. Not long until we can see you in person!
